Anisotropic sources for surface and volume boundary layer mesh generation

A new approach to model and compute the metric tensor corresponding a-priori prescribed surface volume boundary layers is presented. This achieved by use of sources that combined anisotropic metric. Algorithms are presented both evaluate resulting value at any point in space efficient approximation minimum maximum over an axis-aligned box which enables fast evaluation independent used for mesh generation. The ability sizing independently ensure generation algorithms it can produce meshes correctly predictably capture fields induced user layer attributes. method unique producing globally smooth representations final including influence implicit anisotropy due curvature isotropic sizes. As a result, addresses robustness size smoothness issues legacy approaches decouple stages. demonstrated several examples include on geometries with curved boundaries.
